ISO 9001:2000 Standard is the most popular standard at international level. It is implemented by 760.000 companies in more than 154 countries. The ISO 9001 is rather a milestone for the demands of quality management and services in the business sector and while making trade deals.

The ISO 9001:2000 sets the minimum requirements of a quality management system that needs to be implemented by a company when seeking to prove competence to provide, at a standard basis, products and services that meet the demands of its customer, whilst incorporating the requirements deriving from National Legislation and Commission Decisions.
