Agro-food Sector
Having the prestige, reliability, recognition and the required specialized expertise, from the beginning of its operation, following the increasing needs of the global market for production and distribution of healthy and safe food, has emerged, among others, as one of the leading certification bodies in the agro-food sector. Today is the one and only Greek Certification Body which besides organic products has the ability to provide inspection and certification services covering all needs of enterprises in the agro-food sector and in particular all those engaged in crop and animal production, aquaculture, food processing, standardization, packaging, trade and Support Services (Consulting, supplies, equipment, training).
Accreditations:
a Cert is accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System
(ESYD) as a Certification Body in the following areas:
• Organic Products according to EN 45011 standard.
• Quality Management Systems in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standard
according to ISO / IEC 17021:2006.
• Food Safety Management Systems in compliance with ISO 22000:2005 standard according to ISO / IEC 17021:2006
and ISO / TS 22003:2007.
• Integrated Management in Agricultural Production / Management of Rural Environment, in compliance with the AGRO 2.1 and AGRO 2.2 standards, according to ISO/IEC 17021:2006
Licenses
a Cert is an authorized Certification Body for Organic Products from:
• the Ministry of Rural Development and Food with authorization code EL-05-BIO.
• the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Food with approval code BG-08-BIO.
International Collaborations
a Cert provides inspection and certification services for Products, Management Systems and Persons and for this it collaborates with international institutions in order to offer services with great added value.
Participations
a Cert is a member of HellasCert, the Hellenic Association of Accredited Inspection and Certification Bodies. Moreover, it is also an active member of IFOAM, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements, a strong network of 750 organizations from 108 countries promoting organic farming worldwide.
Finally, it is a founding member of the Organic Products Network which is controlled by the Association of Exporters of Northern Greece (SEVE).
