Talks Rosselkhoznadzor Embassy of Greece

The talks took place at the initiative of the Greek side, and were devoted to the prospects of the resumption of deliveries of products of Greek enterprises, temporarily restricted in their right to export products to the territory of the Customs Union.

As noted by taking part in the negotiations by representatives of the Greek dairy business, the main problem was that the Veterinary Service of Greece is not brought to the exporters on product safety requirements stipulated by the legislation of Russia and the Customs Union. Thus, the exported products do not meet the requirements of the importing country and the European Union - despite the fact that between the standard indicators of the Customs Union and the European Union there is a significant difference. At the same time, companies within the industry are willing to develop products in full compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Customs Union. Representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor expressed regret that the Veterinary Service of Greece, being officially informed of the requirements of the Customs Union, did not notify them of company-producers, which led to the introduction of time limits. In the near future the Greek veterinary service will be given a brief report on the results of the inspection, then it has to overcome the identified deficiencies and notify the Rosselhoznadzor, after which it will be possible negotiations on a new inspection of Greek companies interested in exporting countries of the Customs Union of products subject to surveillance state veterinary service.
